“The resignation of Saakashvili is a diagnosis of the current government reforms”. This was said by the leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk the on resignation of the Chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili. “We support his unwillingness to put up with the tyranny of authorities and we hope thatlook forward that he will not stop and will continue to fight as strongly and fundamentally, but now in opposition to the current government”, – said Mykola Katerynchuk.
The Chairman of the Odessa City Organization of the European Party of Ukraine Ruslan Chernolutsky on this occasion said that “the authorities reacted harshly to the positive and innovative proposals of Saakashvili”. “Our state system is not willing to accept the global trend of the liberal-democratic governance. Instead of the promised liberal reforms they clamp down and build a vertical of an absolute power of the President”, – he said.
“This feudal-Byzantine style is simply not acceptable for the European Union, the United States and other advanced countries of the West. Therefore, we did not succeed in matters of visa-free regime, in matters of socio-economic development and investment, in matters of civil stability”, – added Ruslan Chernolutsky.
