“Living in Ukraine becomes more and more dangerous every day. Security Service of Ukraine and the police do not perform their duties and terrorists continue to intimidate Ukrainian people”, – said the head of the Executive Committee of the European Party of Ukraine Vitaliy Shcherbenko.
“We have to accept the fact that Kyiv events have repeated in Odessa. Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch issued a joint statement in which international organizations demand an impartial and careful investigation into the death of people in Odessa on May 2. With this treatment it becomes apparent that the objective investigation is a rarity and even a myth to Ukrainian realities.
Unfortunately, even the Victory Day this year was not a day of remembrance and commemoration of the dead, but rather gave us new victims. In the city Druzhkivka the house of the deputy of the European Party of Ukraine was attacked twice, a 44-year-old local Orthodox priest was shot and the couple of sole proprietors were shot on their way to Sverdlovsk. And there are just a few isolated cases that occurred in Donetsk region. The all-Ukrainian picture is far more tragic”, – said Vitaliy Shcherbenko.
“Let`s also pay attention to the fact that the case of mass murders at Maydan on 19-20 February has not been disclosed yet. In March, there were reports of the Prosecutor General`s Office of Ukraine on the conduct of investigation and it was stated that the snipers were identified and the involved in the shootings were arrested. The Court gave its permission for the arrest and delivery to the court of Viktor Yanukovych, the former head of the Security Service Oleksander Yakimenko and other organizers of the so-called anti-terrorist operation in connection with the mass murders of protesters at Independence Square in Kyiv. However, there is no information about arrest of at least one person from the list.
In this regard, the question arises whether the actions of the government in response to the death of “Heavenly hundred” are enough? How many people in how many regions and cities of Ukraine should die to make the Security Service of Ukraine and the police responsibly react to the current events and really protect people and territory of Ukraine? Permissiveness and impunity of the state thieves was one of the reasons of the dangerous situation that appeared in Ukraine. We do not have a right to let terrorists and snipers continue to feel free in our country”, – he added.
