Today the 16th Congress of the European Party of Ukraine was held in Kyiv. Delegates of the Congress approved the decision of the Party Council to support the candidature of Anatoly Grytsenko in the next presidential election.
Addressing party members, Mykola Katerynchuk stressed that society today has unfulfilled demands for peace and a just state with honest power.
“People are tired of war and lawlessness. I am sure that peace will come to Ukraine only when we elect a president-Commander in Chief who has military expertise, relevant experience and is able to assess the situation adequately. A person who is not dependent on oligarchs will be able to eradicate corruption and restart the judicial system to serve the Ukrainians’ demand for justice”.
Congress delegates discussed their expectations of President Grytsenko’s activities and identified three priorities:
– creation of an independent judiciary and law enforcement system without corruption, which will boost the economy, create an attractive investment climate and raise all social standards;
– introduction of a liberal tax system that will facilitate the development of small and medium-sized businesses and the adoption of a new Tax Code;
– revision of the Association Agreement with the EU in order to define clear prospects and terms of Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
We will remind that in the last presidential elections in 2014 the European Party of Ukraine also supported Anatoly Grytsenko, in particular, made a pledge for his nomination as a presidential candidate.
